Caleb walked with Cara back to her room. He had set her bags there during the tour and knew she didn't have that much to unpack. When she asked about work he reassured her with light touch on the back. "Relax, Cara. We don't expect you to go find a job right away. We're here to help you and give you as much time as you need to get yourself on your feet. It's hard enough for mutants out there with they way humans hate us so much. You don't need extra pressure."
When they reached her room he pulled some cash from his pocket, removed the clipped around it and slid a good deal into her hand. His eyes shot back and forth down the hall as if this was forbidden and he was doing her a big favour.
