Cable made his way toward the residential home of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in a way most probably would not have thought to do so. He approached in a gray humvee. It was loud, cantankerous, and it was big. It was the goddamn Cable of vehicles.
They wouldn't be expecting him, unless they'd gotten some new pregog to join in their ranks, which Cable highly doubted. Whether they knew he was coming to them or not however was entirely irrelevant. This was not some harebrained sneak attack ploy, Cable was not there to confront anyone and started further fighting that would no doubt escalate once more into some full blown war. Mutant kind was divided, amazingly soon after all these years and after all they'd been through. Magneto and Xavier kept a line driven between the mutants, and even after it drove one to mentally assault the other and resulted in Xavier's death, it looked like Mystique and Cyclops were going to continue on their tradition.
That wasn't what Cable wanted to see and if he had anything to do with it things were not going to work that way much longer. Things were fragile, relationships were at a brittle breaking point now, and the future was just barely hanging on by a thread. Cable needed to be smart about this, and while he wasn't the greatest at that when it came to people, he had to do something even harder still: exercise patience. The thought alone wore on his nerves, but Cable was far from a moron, he knew to be careful and completely aware when it came to delicate matters such as this.
He needed to speak with the woman in charge of Magneto's school. Not as Cable and Mystique. Not as X-Man and Brotherhood. Not as enemies. But as two mutants who wished to survive and see the rest of their kind survive. It was time to really prove the "brotherhood" portion of that name.
Cable pulled in the cobblestone driveway of the boarding house, the engine of his vehicle still growling as he through the mobile into park. The large form that was the mutant time traveler lumbered out of vehicle and swung the gray door shut behind him. Nathan stared up at the building, his left eye twinkling with its golden glow. He was strapped with guns and plenty fire power, as always, but no weapon was in hand, he hoped the woman would find this good faith. Or good enough.
