Physical Description:
Robyn stands at 5'10, 135 lbs. She has a lean to average build. She has fair skin with a few freckles here and there and blue eyes. Her hair is naturally strawberry blonde but she will dye it red or sometimes brown. By day, she wears a police uniform and when she isn't working, she wears comfortable clothes such as jeans and t shirts, but she also knows how to be girly and can clean up nicely when there is a special occasion.
Personality Demeanor:
Robyn is a very headstrong individual. Having grown up as a bit of a tomboy, she has learned to hold her own. She believes strongly in keeping the peace between humans and mutants. There are times where she is vulnerable as being a police officer can come with baggage. She has seen the worst in people and sometimes it haunts her dreams. When she is around others, she is can be very outspoken, yet she is respectful and likes to help people. The woman is also nurturing to a degree as it also comes with the job.
Mutation:
During her time at Xavier's she was known as Painkiller because she has the a ability to telepathically block nerves in others, causing something as minimal as numbness to paralysis. This comes in handy because she can literally stop pain in others just by numbing that part of the body.
Flaws:
Robyn cannot use her power on herself, so she is susceptible to pain. She also cannot read minds or do anything else a telepath can do and she never will. Also, a weakness of her power is that she has to be within the line of sight of who she is using her power on and she has to be within fairly close proximity (20 feet). Also, her power isn't as effective on those with healing factors such as Wolverine or Deadpool because they repel it as their cells are forever regenerating.
Hobbies & Aptitudes:
Using guns, basic combat/self defense skills learned in police academy, making jewelry, reading, hiking, collecting vinyl records and being bilingual in English and Spanish
History:
Robyn grew up a military brat. She was born in the United Kingdom to Ian and Eleanor Watson, an American father and a British mother. They lived in a house a near RAF Mildenhall base, where her father worked. Growing up with two older brothers named Harris and Tyson, she was a bit of a tomboy as she didn't have many female friends. When she was 8, her father was medically discharge after suffering an injury when he got into a car accident, so the family moved to a town in upstate New York called Albion. There she would hunt and fish with her fathers and brothers. The family was happy there. There she met her first real female friend, a neighbor girl named Ashley Thomas. As she aged into her preteens, she began to get into more girly things, but she never lost touch of the tomboy inside her and dreamed of becoming a police officer.
Her power developed at age 12. She, her father, brothers and father's friend were hunting. Her father's friend George accidentally shot her father in the leg. In a panic as her father lay there bleeding and pain and hey were waiting for paramedics, she felt something and saw radiate within her. It was like a warm aura moved from her body to her father. Her father was suddenly pain free but complained that he could not feel his body below his neck. He regained feeling in the hospital and survived but Robyn was left with a lot of questions. This happened again shortly after as the family dog was hit by a car. She felt the same sensation and saw the same glowing aura. This is when she knew she was different. She kept it a secret from her parents, but joined an online support group for preteens and teens who are different. It was there, she got the realization that she is a mutant.
At age 14, she was approached by representatives of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters where she learned control. She was known as the Painkiller. She loved it there and had made many friends during her time at that school. Her parents also accepted that their daughter is a mutant unlike many parents of mutant kids.
After graduation, she decided not to pursue a spot in the X-Men and go to Police Academy and pursue her dream. Now she lives in New York City and is a police woman with NYPD.
First Appearance:
I'd love for someone in the Brotherhood to be causing trouble somewhere and she is called to the scene.
