In the other games I've played each character can only be in one thread at a time, so continuity is easy. I'm having trouble figuring it out in this format.
For instance, I want Maggie and Cara to go have a day on the town, but until the Enlistment thread is over, I won't know what condition she'll be in when that happens. She hasn't joined Fenn and Scion at the mall yet because I can't decide if that would be before or after getting her ass kicked by Grim.

Well, that's the thing. Boards I've posted on in the past were only one plot line per character. Posts would be done chronologically, so if there were two storylines being written silmultaneously, it would be assumed there were happening at approximately the same time. You can travel from one storyline to another, but use common sense as to how you would get there and when. As for multiple threads on the same character, well, I'm not entirely sure how to pull that together. Any thoughts, Cyclops?
You pretty much nailed it Fenn. My experience is if you limit one character to a thread, we end up with members have way more characters then they can handle just so they can post more often.
Multiple threads per character are allowed, you just need to be careful, and in the case of Maggie, sometimes you do have to wait for important stories to resolve. The trick is making sure you don't cross your own continuity.
A good rule of thumb: whatever thread started first, its event take place first. Unless you are posting in the Past thread where it actually takes place in the past.
